About

Why did I name my blog The Pursuit of Manliness?  Am I the authority on manliness?  Not at all.  Do I do manly things?  Sometimes, yes.  “Such as…” you may be thinking.

Well first of all I strive every day to be a good husband to my wonderful wife.  I am the bread winner, the provider.  Not by mandate, but by mutual agreement.  I try to make sure my wife knows she means the world to me and how thankful I am to have her in my life.

Secondly, I try every single day to be a good father to our baby boy.  I believe part of being a man (if married) is being a good husband and father.  The world has fewer men these days because so many men in the past were not there to help raise their sons.

Third, I try to do my job to the best of my ability because a man who can’t keep a job isn’t much of a man in my opinion.  I also work a second job so my wife can stay home to raise our son and we will not have to struggle to make ends meet.

Lastly, I have many interests and hobbies that I consider to be of a manly nature.  That is really what this blog will be about…the things I do in my daily life that I think are manly.  So if you want to see what kind of stuff I’m up to in my pursuit of manliness, please keep reading.

  1. You are a good man in my book. The best husband and father a man can be. We are lucky to have you.

So, hey, did you want some more of that grapefruit face wash you like? : )

  3. I’m looking forward to more manly posts! Great idea for a blog. We do one on home improvement. As I’m sure you know, not a lot of men can fix things around the house anymore. We try to educate where we can. Feel free to add us to your blogroll, we will do the same.
